Relationships Tab

The relationships tab shows all the relationships that this patron has with other patrons in the database. You are able to enter notes about the relationship as well as categorise them.

Parts of the Relationship Tab

Patron #

The other patron that this patron is related to

First Name

The first name of the patron that this patron is related to

Last Name

Last name of the patron

Company

The company name of the patron that this patron is related to

Date Added

Date that the relationship record was added to the database to give an idea of how current it is.

Reason

A description (from the code tables) of what this relationship is. The relationship can be viewed from both patrons and Theatre Manager automatically adjusts the terminology displayed in the column based on the code tables.

For example: under patron one, the relationship may indicate that patron one is the 'child' of patron 2. On patron 2, it will indicate that patron 2 is the 'Parent' of patron 1 to help understand the relationship easier.

Relationship Notes

The notes allow for an additional description of the relationship. This could be useful for describing relationships of people in partnerships or business.

Editing a Relationship

You can insert a new relationship by clicking on the 'insert' icon at the bottom of the screen. You can edit one by double clicking on the row in the list.

Either way, you will see a window where you can enter more data about the relationship. Data fields that you can change are

Patron #

The patron number that the patron on the main window is related to

Relationship

The nature of the relationship as selected from values in the code tables

Choose from Matching Relationship

Since a relationship can be viewed from either patron, this allows you to select which view this is. Example of a relationship is parent or child. When the window opens, you'll see only one side of the relationship such as parent. Clicking the checkbox changes it to the other point of view.

Notes

Additional notes about the relationship.
