Recommended Computer Requirements

Theatre Manager is cross platform, so you are able to have a Macintosh and a PC (2000 Pro, XP, XP Pro or Vista) access Theatre Manager's database on the same Network without worrying about any data integrity issues.

Our design goal for each version of Theatre Manager is to target the minimum workstation requirements at a machine that you have purchased a year or two ago - in other words, any computer of recent vintage with enough memory is more than likely to work with Theatre Manager.

Macintosh's and PC's are easily connected. There is an example configuration and a friendly reminder ... always do your backups faithfully each day.

Backups

  • we provide a backup batch file that will dump the database to a local directory on a timed basis that can be run when the database is in use. You will need some mechanism to copy/move that file to a backup device

Suggestions for a good backup strategy.
