The Reports Window

The Reports window is the main interface with the reporting system in Theatre Manager. From here, a user can gain access to any one of over 150 reports that Theatre Manager has to offer. To access the reports window follow the steps below.

Opening the Reports Window

Click the Reports Button on the toolbar or use the File >> Reports Menu

The Reports Window opens.

The reports categories (the left hand side of the reports window) contain groupings of formatted reports relating to the category. Single clicking on a report category will display the reports within that category on the right hand side of the reports window. The right hand side of the reports window, (also known as available reports) displays a list of available pre-formatted reports that can be generated relating to the reporting category selected on the left hand side of the window.

 

Parts of the Reports Window

Report Categories	The left hand portion of the reports window. It contains groupings of formatted reports in each category.
Available Reports	The right hand portion displays a list of available pre-formatted reports that relate to the reporting category that they belong to.
Max. Records	Max. Records indicates the maximum records that contain data relating to the report category currently selected. This indicates the maximum number of records that Theatre Manager could include in the selected report. Entering search criteria reduces the number of records included in a report.   Note: When selecting some of the "Ticket Printing, Invoicing and Revenue Analysis" report categories, the Max. Records indicates all the tickets setup in the database. Entering selection criteria, such as a particular performance, will limit the report to the subset of records that meet the search criteria.
	Allows a user to create custom reports accessing Theatre Manager data. Refer to Ad Hoc Reports for more information.
	Views the reports in the Batch Queue that are to be printed at a later date.
	Adds the selected report to the Batch Queue to be run according to a specified schedule at a later date.
	Allows a user to create custom Report Categories.
	Removes the selected report from the custom Report Category.
	Prints the selected report or letter.
