Version 6.01 Version 6 is the culmination of changes for season subscription renewals and the introduction of the internet sales module Updates Released April 20, 2002

This nature of this version is a foundation for future releases. As such, it contains a number of new data elements to position for the internet module. It also removes data elements that are no longer needed to free up some small amounts of disk space. There are some changes to this version that are not in version 5.72, specifically for season subscriptions, relationship management and some more tools for analysing the financial flow of data. You must be using version 5.72 to upgrade to version 6.01. The update should take about an hour.

Before upgrade	Upgrade to version 5.72 if you are not already at that version Run the end of day process and deposit all payments, create all sales entries and post to the GL using version 5.72 Go to Setup->System Tables->Tables and enter the credit card and debit card discount amounts. Backup the database files Install version 6.00 and start Theatre Manager Call the support line at (403) 536-1211 to get the version 6 upgrade number

Relationships

Version 6.00 has a new feature to track any number of relationships between patrons. The relationship types you wish to use must be set up first in the code tables. These values are available to be used in each patron to set up as many relationships as you want to other patrons. Relationships are entered and changed via the patron window.

Season Subscriptions

There have been a number of enhancements to the season subscription renewal process since version 5.72 in response to feedback on the process

Memberships/Passes/Gift Certificates

The Pass/Gift certificate module has the following key enhancements:

• Include a new type of pass called 'can't buy anything' - this can be used for products where the patron can buy a membership that cannot be redeemed for tickets or other products. This is more in line with true memberships.
• has a 5 year summary of sales and redemptions for each of the passes.
• has some extra options on the sales that:
  • only allow you to sell the pass in even multiples. Example of this would be a play pass valued at $153.50. The setting on this type of pass can be set to enforce that only multiple of $153.50 (eg $307.00, $460.50, etc.) can be sold to the patron
  • to prevent selling a zero value pass.

Database Changes

A number of data fields that have not been in use for a long time were removed to save some space in the database. Additional data fields were added to various parts of Theatre Manager to support the upcoming internet sales module.

Other Changes

As with other versions of Theatre Manager, there have been improvements and tweaks for performance in various areas since the last version.

Online Help

The internet based help has been improved for both look and content and the latest version is more in tune with the application. The search keywords have also been improved based on the kinds of things that people search for.
