Version 6.17
The main enhancements are small changes in the web listener to support
internet sales. The ability now exists to do a mass email to patrons
using the 'letter merge' facility.

Before upgrade
|
- Upgrade to version 5.72 if you are not already at that version. Refer
to earlier release notes about the process.
- Review release notes starting from the version you are currently
using, up to and including this version. Previous upgrades may
require
you to perform additional steps before upgrading and/or after upgrading.
They may also list areas of Theatre Manager you need to
update with new data requirements before using the new version.

After upgrade
|
- Edit each notification (Setup-> Users and Access->Workflow Notification)
to make sure that the pathname to the email file can be found. Some notifications
created with earlier versions of TM created an absolte pathname which did
not work
- Verify the start time for the backups and run time.
This ensure web listener will start/stop properly. This is in Setup->Default
Data
- Edit the the new web sales file 'TMCheckoutInvoiceEmail.html' . This new
file is and email that will be sent to patron after purchase to confirm
the purchase. It should be in the WebSales folder.

You can now do a mass email. The process is the started as if you were doing
a letter
merge.
After you specify
the criteria, Theatre Manager finds the patrons and adds them to a list.
When all records are found, you will see a dialog similar to that above. Options
are:
Finally, you can manipulate the list of people found and select one/more patrons
in the list and remove them. If they are removed, they will not receive any
correspondance.
