Preparing for the Update

Before upgrade

  • Upgrade to version 5.72 if you are not already at that version. Refer to earlier release notes about the process.
  • Review release notes starting from the version you are currently using, up to and including this version. Previous upgrades may require you to perform additional steps before upgrading and/or after upgrading. They may also list areas of Theatre Manager you need to update with new data requirements before using the new version.

After upgrade

  • If you have an electronic cash drawer, connect it to a com port and indicate, in the user's preferences, which com port that it is connected to
  • If you do not have an electronic cash drawer, you need do nothing.

Web Sales

A new feature was added to the 'Accounting' menu under the web sales listener option. It is called 'shopping carts'. You can now display shopping carts in a list using a number of criteria and purge out old ones (if you wish). You can also double click on any shopping cart to see the status of each item in the cart.
