Before upgrade	Upgrade to version 5.72 if you are not already at that version. Refer to earlier release notes about the process. Review release notes starting from the version you are currently using, up to and including this version. Previous upgrades may require you to perform additional steps before upgrading and/or after upgrading. They may also list areas of Theatre Manager you need to update with new data requirements before using the new version.
After upgrade	If you have the web listener installed, you may need to adjust some web pages.

Web Sales

• Corrected the situation where a user would log into system when backups were running, but after backups completed, the patron's ticket sales would appear to be sold to patron #0.
• Corrected the situation where performance dates for July 1, August 1, Sept 1, etc. did not show up when the user wanted to display all events for a specific month.
• Corrected a situation that could prevent a shopping cart from being checked out. If there were only internet promotions enabled for a performance, Theatre Manager would give an error on checkout and stop the checkout from proceeding. This also caused the web listener to stop
• Corrected a situation where the original versions of the sample web pages could cause an EVAL() error on PC's. This would close the web listener inadvertantly. Now fixed.
• Added a feature to trap the user using the back and refresh buttons on their browser in certain situations. If the user was about to hold tickets or release tickets on a page that they used the 'back' arrow on the browser to get to, they will now receive an error message. This requires a new web page to be placed in the web pages folder. (Separate download)

Season Subscriptions

• Add additional data validation checks during the Unprint Batch of Renewal Notices routine.

Reports

• Order Detail by Patron (Tickets Only) - Added the company name to be printed beside the patron name
• Order Detail by Employee, by Patron (Tickets Only) - Added the compnay name to be printed beside the patron name
• Added the ability to print reports, mailing labels, and export data according to post office standard formats. The standards used have been determined by Canada Post and the US Post Office. How to turn this feature on? When you are entering in your search criteria for the report, there will be a field called "Use Post Office Strict Mailing Guidelines". Simply activate this box and the report, mail labels, or export will be formatted accordingly. Some examples for the formats are:
  • Names and addresses will coverted to upper case
  • Punctuation will not be used except in proper names
  • # sign and "NO" will never be used
  • Municipality, province and postal code will be on the same line
  • Character size should be 10 to 12 point (Theatre Manager uses the 10 point)
  • Street Types will be converted. For example:
    • Avenue / AVE
    • Street / ST
    • Mountain / MTN
    • Court / CRT
    • Pathway / PTWAY
    • Terrace / TERR
    • Drive / DR
    • Crescent / CRES
    • Road / RD
    • Highway / HWY
  • Street Directions will be converted. For example:
    • East / E
    • West / W
    • North / N
    • South / S
    • Northeast / NE
    • Southwest / SW
  • Unit Designators will be converted. For example:
    • Apartment / APT
    • Suite / SUITE
    • Unit / UNIT

End of Day Wizard

• Corrected the situation when authorizing payments during the deposit process, depending on the users response, it may void the payment that was just authorized.
