Web Sales

• The 'Reason to buy' field is now mandatory for purchases on the internet. If you already coded this field in an earlier version of Theater Manager, then no page changes are required. If you do not require that field to be entered at the box office, then no page changes are required. If this field is mandatory, then refer to the changes in TMCheckout.html
• You can update your pages to match the template pages by:
  • Download the sample web page folder for Mac or Windows
  • Install the sample web pages into a directory of your choice. You will need to specify the password you were previously given
• Pages that changed in this archive that may need to be updated in your web pages:

TMError.txt	Added error message 10119 for 'reason to buy' not entered on the internet. If you have not changed this file, simply copy into your web page folder. If you have changed this file, copy the last error message into your directory.
TMCheckout.html	The 'reason to buy' field is now mandatory for internet sales if it is mandatory for the box office. This means that the checkout page must either allow a value to be picked, or supply a default value to the checkout processing page. This page shows a list of 'reasons to buy' which is read from the code tables.
rowFutureTicketHeader.html	the cap() function was removed from around the play title so that it is the same as the value in the database. No need to change your pages
rowTicketEvent.html	the cap() function was removed from around the play title so that it is the same as the value in the database. No need to change your pages.
TMTickets.html	Shows a sample of how to use the extra search criteria for finding events. This sample is in the comments and for documentation purposes only.
TMTicketsSoldOut.html	Changed one of the statements that determines if the event is really sold out, or no longer on sale because of the new feature that allows setting on sales dates (see later in release notes)

Events and Dates

• Added date/time that performance can go on sale at the box office, internet, and other outlets. If the 'allow to sell box office' is checked - meaning that the performance is on sale, then this date is also checked to see if the event can go on sale. If the date/time is blank (the default) then the event can be sold. If the date is non blank, then the ticket can only be sold after the specified date. On the internet, the event is not displayed until the performance can be sold. At the box office, if the 'able to sell box office' flag is set, but the on sale date is in the future, the event still shows up in the buy list. It is marked as 'On sale in the future'. If the box office tries to select the event, they are told that the event is not on sale yet. See picture below to see what the input screen for a performance now looks like.
• Updated the event and performance report (click on the printer icon on the performance tab of play & dates) to show the on sale date and status for performances (for audit purposes)
  
  
  
  
• The duplicate event function that copies prices & promotions from one event to another now copies the On sale dates and the performance flag so that the series information from one performance to another is as similar as possible.
• Changing the event year for a performance now takes that event off sale for subscriptions and other outlets in addition to the box office and internet (which is currently does).
• Changing the venue size now takes the event completely off sale for subscriptions, other outlets, box office and internet sales until the performance is verified.

Donations

• Fixed a problem during the transfer of an order containing donations from one patron to another. The donation balance field was not being calculated incorrectly during the transfer and this has been fixed. Note, the existing order rebuild function has always corrected any such problems.
• Added an automatic recalculation of patron statistics record when a donation is deleted.
• Added an 'insert' button to the donation list window. This can be used in addition to the toolbar's insert button. This was added to reduce confusion.

Misc Changes

• Changed the shopping cart list window in Theatre Manager (Accounting->Web Carts) to default to search by 'date cart created' instead of date that the cart was updated. This is a more realistic view of the new carts for a particular day.
• Fixed the display in the shopping cart list for some carts where the patron record did not display properly.
• Added date entered to the list of shopping carts in the patron window. This is because the date updated was getting changed during merge of patron (as it should) and venues asked to see both dates.
• Restored the speed of the database rebuild process. However, you must make sure no other users access the database when doing the rebuild
• Improved the speed of the database update process.
• Fixed an issue where nobody could log on to a database if there were less than 25 megs of free space in the database. This would only occur if the user could not get exclusive access to the database to test its size. This has been fixed so that Master Users can always log on to the database if this situation should occur.
• Added the ability to export some payment information that did not work previously.
• Fixed a merge patron bug that did not properly connect the shopping cart to the new patron. (this data is fixed during the upgrade).
• revenues by Promotion (detailed breakdown) and Revenues by Promotion (average ticket prices) now print the correct event name when subtotaled by performance and only a select few performances are printed.
• Fixed a bug in the plug in code for reverting ticket prices for tickets sold at the box office.
• Fixed a bug in applying a gift certificate with the redemption type 'convert to sales promotion' when used in conjunction with general admission tickets that were sold as a 'group of xx tickets' instead of being sold as individual admissions. This now calculates the ticket price properly.
