The version changes the way database connections are managed as well as implements the patron statistics records - plus a bunch of minor tweaks and enhancements

Key changes:

Change database connection management to get rid of transaction errors
Clears then rebuilds ALL the patron statistic records

Added support for BOCA IP printers

Before upgrade	Read the release notes for any version prior and follow the directions Stop web sales and close all shopping carts. Complete your end of day. Deposit all funds, create all sales entries and post to the GL. Verify the database using data utilities and ensure that everything is ok. Make a backup copy of the database
After upgrade	None required
Optional Steps	After the upgrade, Theatre Manager will need to re-summarize the patron statistic records when the end of day is done. Make sure that you do this after sales at the end of the day for the First Time Go to Play & Dates and separeate the internal and external event notes into their respective fields if you need to.

7.06.00 Changes (Sep 17)

Database: changed the way database connections are managed to handle some special conditions where random error messages were returned on the Windows platform indicating that a transactions had been aborted. This condition arose under certain conditions where closing a connection to the database within a transaction for some strange reason - aborted the transaction. It occurred so randomly that some people never got it. Regardless, we feel this situation is solved and you should not see transaction boundary problems on the PC again

Patron: the order list now sorts in descending order

Patron Statistics: This feature has been re-implemented in version 7. The code was there, but the statistics were not being calculated as transactions were posted. In fixing this and to maintain the integrity of the database, this update will delete all the patron statistic records. Then, during the first end of day, all this statistical information will be rebuilt. We HIGHLY recommend that, after installing, you run an end of day on a separate machine and do it at night when it doesn't matter to the rest of the box office.

Report Parameters: changes the saving of report parameters window to allow cancel

Play & Dates: added a new field to the database for 'Internal Notes'. This is similar to the original event note field - with the notion that some notes are for external use on the web (the original field) and there may be some additional notes for internal consumption. The web will display the original notes. Data in the internal field is added to the 'sales notes' window after the external web notes.

Sales Notes: Now shows the external and internal notes. The font was changed to be the standard display font AND the list of performances are shown at the top with a status for you on sales total, sales type, past event, on or off sale and more.

Theatre Map: added an 'internal' map name. This way the ticket faces and web can use the external map name like 'The xxxx Theatre' whereas the internal name shown on the box office ticket sales window could be 'xxxx theatre (config #1)' or some other useful sales meaning.

Donations: Fixed issue where Donation Transaction was created for the incorrect amount when a donation benefit was applied.

Donations: Fixed issue where Donation Benefit Amount was not set automatically based on the default setting for the giving level benefit amount.

Events: Attendance Tab - New ability to Refund selected tickets

Events: Performance Tab - Fix for verifying performances where in specific situations the performance totals were not being reset

Employee Preferences: New ability to select BOCA IP interface ticket printers

Ticket Faces: New ability to convert a ticket face from a selected DPI to another DPI depending on the ticket printers in the box office.

Ticket Printing: New ability to print to BOCA IP printers

Ticket Selling: Fixed issue where refunding festival tickets could have set the Performance Hold Count incorrectly in specific situations

Ticket Selling: if somebody saved the toolbar preferences on the ticket sales window, TM did not redisplay it properly and the toolbar disappeared. We put in a check to notice of the toolbar was not there and then put it back.

Ticket Selling: transferring an quick buy order to another patron should now search properly in all cases. under the right condition, you could cause TM to search for all the patron records and take forever.

EOD Sales: Fixed the GL Header transaction count so it will be updated when all transactions in the GL Entry are complimentary tickets

Batch Functions: Unprint Batch of Tickets - New ability to Unprint selected tickets

Batch Functions: Unprint Batch of Tickets - New ability to Refund selected tickets

Batch Functions: Unprint Batch of Tickets - New ability to Unpost selected tickets

Transaction Detail: Added a Confirmation message prior to Unposting a transaction

Transaction Detail: fixed a boundary condition for showing the account number on version 6 transactions

Transactions: Improved description of Donation Benefit transactions

Transactions: Fixed issue where employee initials were missing from Order Fee Refund Transactions

Reports: changed the donation program listing reports to no longer show the 'build summary list' at the bottom. This same function can be done with the 'having' feature when building a mail list.

Reports: fixed the issue where the report category might show up in the report list by mistake.

Reports: altered how we store custom categories in the database to fix some display issues.

Web Sales: added some checks to prevent sending a message to add a patron to a mail lists if they are not logged on

Web Sales: added some checks to prevent sending a message to show historical shopping carts if they are not logged on

To Do List: added a sort criteria for the window so that large sets of todo's on one day stop reorganizing themselves randomly.
