7.19.02 Changes & Enhancements (Jan 25)
- Form Letters: fixed an issue that could cause a SQL error with the recently accessed letters for some databases
- Form Letters: changed the title on emails merged immediately to be the name of the letter and not the name of the venue
- Reports: reload the report list cache every couple of minutes to gather custom changes made by other users at other workstations
- Reports: fixed saving of parameters under some conditions
- Reports: ensure that parameters passed in from windows (to make some reports context sensitive) do not over-ride the basic parameters expected of the report.
- Searching: make the search from/to function more aware of the size of the field being searched and improve the visual feedback to the user. Search display fields are now truncated to the size of the field being searched.
- Subscriptions: fixed a transaction boundary issue when building favourite seats
- Subscriptions: disable changing of the control houses once there are people assigned to that package.
- GL posting: fixed issue where un posted G/L entries that were backdated to last year could be posted to the current year.
- End of Day: fixed an rare condition where examining multiple reservation only orders - and all tickets were returned in those orders, could cause a SQL error.
- End of Day: fixed bug introduced in authorizing credit cards at time of sale that could cause TM to crash. The reason is that all cards on all EOD window and reports are now masked to be better than the rules for PCI compliance - and this change introduced the possibility of a crash.
- Mail Lists: Prevent a mail list group from running if the main table is not specified. This averts an SQL error by detecting that it may occur
- Mail Lists: added co-payee to the export data on the mail list.
- Patron: fixed a small bug adding patron address information
- Patron: fixed a bug in searching for Province/State and Postal Code/Zip if a [ or ] was typed into the name of the city.
- Donations: added and error condition to detect where the matching gift flag was set, but the actual matching gift was removed later on.
- Sales Process: allow the fee on an other to be changed as it is inserted (previously, you had to save it first)
Subscriptions
The release notes in Version 7.18 describe the basic steps that must be taken to do the subscription process. In this version, we've added two features to help build subscriptions and customize the notices.
Preparing for next years subscriptions:
First: If you sold tickets last year for subscribers and placed them into a control house at the same time, then its possible that their favourite seating was not set up. The subscription process is more tightly associated with the control house, as is the rollover from year to year. We did this because we found people wanted to track and manipulate seats from season to season in an easier manner.
If you used the control house feature, but did not create favourite seats, then you can simply pull up your 'Manage Favorite Seats' window that looks like below. This package MUST have a control house from the current/prior season that contains seats sold only to subscribers.

If some of the people in the control house do not have favourite seats, then you can click the 'Verify Holds' button at the upper right. Normally, this is used to place all subscription seats on hold in the control house to keep them for subscribers. Optionally, you can click the option to 'Create a subscription' for a patron. This will occur if there are sold seats for a patron in the control house that are not set up as favourite seats. If another patron happened to have them in their package, those seats will be demoted to wait list for the patron who really didn't have them.

Customized Renewal Notices
In version 6, Theatre Manager provided control over what the text in the fields might look like. Version 7 implements the same convenience features on the standard renewal notices - simply change the text to customize the majority of the renewal notice.
In version 7, you can go a step further and truly customize the renewal notice by removing text, adding our own, adding graphic elements and more. These renewal notices can be saved and you can have multiple types of notices. The customization process begins by:
- Starting the reports window
- Clicking on the Season Subscription Category (on the left)
- Clicking on the Season Ticket Renewal Notice (on the right)
- Clicking the 'Customize' button on the toolbar.

When you do that, the report customization window opens, similar to below. You can:
- Click on a field (in this case 'iHeaderTitle') and change the position by dragging it
- change the font and size in the area to the left
- make the field visible (or invisible). This lets you keep the field around in case you want it later, but don't want to get rid of it.
- and at the bottom are graphic objects. You click on the object and then draw it in the report. At this time, pictures are not supported.
