Version 7.27.00

This version implements a number of enhancements throughout theatre manager.

There have also been the usual number of enhancements and fixes in response to user requests.

Version 7.26 Updates

Key changes:
  • Web Logging and more web page debugging support
  • Additional end of day report to support breakdown of payments for entry to the G/L
  • Ability to divide responsibilities for EOD deposits for credit cards and other payments amongst people.
  • Some additional options around web page customization being done from within Theatre Manager

Note: There are new web pages and web page changes that you may wish if you are installing subscriptions.

There are is one mandatory web change for this version - you must install the latest apache module and place the one new page in place.

Optional Steps
  • Since the length of donation campaign, membership/pass/GC, patron initials and mail list name have been increased in size, you may wish to change the name of some of these items
  • In Company Preferences, Donation tab, you may wish to change the default 'next contact' frequency.
  • In Company Preferences, Mandatory Data tab, you may wish to indicate if a postal/zip code is required on orders and/or if it is allowed to be entered.
  • The 'return to hold' map has been implemented on a per performance basis, just like version 6. If you want to customize it for some performances, you will need to edit the appropriate performance records in event & dates.
Time Required
  • A short time if you are version 7.19 or later
  • Between 1 and 5 hours, depending on the number of patron records in order to upgrade from versions 7.16

Updated Web Pages

There are some new and updated web pages that you may wish to replace some of your existing pages with. The table below indicates the pages that have changed and the nature of the change that was made. These pages may be downloaded and placed into your apache server. You will need to stop and restart all web listeners after the page changes have been made.

TMcheckout.html added a row to allow the patron to enter their name into the checkout window. TM will update the credit card file with this name if none exists on file.
TMCheckoutNoPayment.html small change to this page to show a list of 'why did patron buy' instead of using a popup
tmError.txt Added error message 10138. You can simply copy this entire file if you have made no changes, or add the one new error message.
TMlogoff.html minor wording change for clarity
TMloginSelectPatron.html New page. This is required to allow identification of the patron online if multiple people in the household are sharing the same email address.
tmTemplates/rowCartFestival.html Added generic code to support a new feature to enable/disable display of promotions and/or price codes from the company preferences screen. In some cases, also revised the template to show and/or link to the proper venue for general admission events in an alternate venue
