Version 7.34.03

This version adds picture fields for a patron, and a setting for cash only.

There have also been the usual number of enhancements and fixes in response to user requests.

Key changes:

contains a significant performance improvement when selecting one or two lines in any list that displays totals at the bottom of the screen.

There are is one mandatory web change for this version - a new Apache Loadable module must be installed, changes should be made to the configuration file and 3 web pages must be put in place.

note: If running G4 mac mini web listeners at 10.4.11, you may need to upgrade the OS to 10.5.3. We've seen a couple mac minis that needed upgrading and some that do not in our beta testing.

Before upgrade	Read the release notes for any prior version and follow those directions, if applicable Stop web sales and close all shopping carts. Complete your end of day. Deposit all funds, create all sales entries and post to the GL. Make a backup copy of the database If running web sales on a Mac Mini - you may need to upgrade it to OSX 10.5.3. The web listener component runs on some (but not other) PowerPC G4 for some reason. Upgrading to 10.5.3 has corrected the issue on those that did not run. If making changes to the web pages, make a backup of the web pages before changing any pages.
After Upgrade	This upgrade requires that you install on each machine If you are using web sales, refer to Version 7.32 notes for after the upgrade to update the listener. Always verify that your web listeners are running after any minor or major upgrade. TM automatically stops them when it notices a new version.
Optional Steps	If you choose to implement PABP/PCI user ids, follow these instructions

7.34.00 Changes & Enhancements

Patron

Added a picture field to the patron 'Profile' tab. Only JPEG's are accepted and they must be less than 500K in size. This is an arbitrary limitation designed to prevent dramatic growth in size of databases which can be altered if necessary. Most head snapshots can be saved in sizes much less than that.
Added a field to the marketing tab called 'Cash Only'. If this is set for a patron and they try to use a credit card, then yo must provide the box office over-ride initials of a person able to accept credit cards when a patron is cash only. (see employee enhancements). On the internet, a patron can add tickets to the cart and get to the checkout. They can even enter the credit card number. When they go to process it, the patron is told that the order must be completed at the box office.
Removed the check in address fields to convert '#' to a 'No'.
Fixed adding a mail list or event to a patron when the setting was for a 'household' patron. TM asks which patron you are assigning the mail list or event to, and then the selection of the event will now work when it is dragged back to any or all open patron windows.
Fixed a condition opening a patron where the patron had no previous contact data. This may have happened during an upgrade where there was nothing but a patron name (no phone number or address data).
The quick find patron button on the toolbar no longer highlights the entire patron number as people type. In practical usage, you told us this was a bad idea.
Allow filtering of donations on the patron window by campaign.

Employee

There are 3 new permissions in the 'functions' tab:
- The ability to use credit cards on the payment window for a patron that is set as 'case only'. The default is off except for master users.
- The ability to 'set' the 'cash only' checkbox in the patron marketing tab. The default is off except for master users.
- The ability to 'unset' the 'cash only' checkbox in the patron marketing tab. The default is off except for master users.
Added two new transactions to track when employees log in and log out as part of the PABP compliance procedures

Subscriptions

Changing the subscription to the 'Cancelled' status was not removing the seats in a subscription properly. Selecting 'Cancelled' will properly invalidate the seating preferences for the cancelled subscription and release the seats.

Reports

Fixed an issue in criteria for date fields and the condition 'month is one of', 'day is one of', etc. These were not evaluating correctly.
Batch merge of letters now displays the company name on the status list as the merge occurs. Previously, it only displayed first and last name.
Added an option to turn off the subtotal header on dynamic reports.
Various minor enhancements to reports and the report engine to resolve some totaling issues or title issues.
Mail list contact report now shows the city, state/province an zip code

Web

The checkout window now remembers the credit card 'month' and 'year' that were previously entered should the authorization process encounter an error (such as invalid card). It saves the customer having to reselect those popup fields for that session. Note: expiry dates and months are not populated from the database - this is just a convenience while the patron is on that checkout window.
If a patron is marked cash only, they will receive a message on checkout that the order can only be completed by calling the box office.
Added a message to the handshaking between the listener and Apache to identify if the Apache server was not reachable.
Changed encryption method for cookies per PABP compliance

Mail Lists

Fixed the security setting on the mail list detail window to use the right option from the employee setup. Previously, it was using the same criteria as the patron window (which was incorrect). This would only show itself if the person had access to view the list of mail lists and have no access to edit patron information.
You can now spell check the mail list window.
Fixed the sorting of mail labels produced from the mail list window so that it now shows the results of the sort.
Corrected an issue with the search of mail lists based on mail list number on the list window

Word Processing

Fixed an issue that allows a field in the 'row object' to be deleted once added.
Fixed an issue where the style in the first column on a row object took on the style rom the footer cell.
Added some more options for date formatting
Added a comma between the city and state/province in the 'all lines of address' field
Fixed a problem where the cursor jumped ahead of the typing. The more characters that were typed (especially if there were different font sizes), the cursor would display in an incorrect location
Fixed issue that insertion point did not show when typing invisible characters (like spaces or CR's) while the key was down on the keyboard. It is not always visible.
Fixed import of RTF documents containing in-line pictures contained within a text box.
Empty paragraphs in a document now export a <br> to look the same on an html email
Fixes an issue (mac only) where double clicking on a word with an apostrophe in it did not select the entire word
Fixed an issue with documents with a 'zero position' tab and it looks like there are many of them. These are all removed.
Donation campaign information can now be added to a form letter if it is based on donation receipts

Misc

Rewrote the method for calculating the number selected records in a list to display at the bottom to be significantly faster - especially when there is a lot of records in the list. Most list based windows should be a little snappier, especially if the window has a total in it. Places where it might be noticed at mostly are in end of day if there are a lot of payments or the ticket printing review window when there ar a lot of tickets.
Added reminder messages on the system preferences window for any password setting less that PABP compliance when that parameter is changed.
