Release Note History

6.82 Made changes in the Daylight Savings Time calculation to address upcoming changes. Added some new donation reports that subtotal by the custom fields. Fixed IP printing on PC's and allow deletion of AP transactions.
6.81 Small changes all round. Some changes made in prep for version 7 and compatibility. Enhancement to do notification based on sales promotions for web sales. Enhancement to data utilities to support more specialize database copies under certain circumstances.
6.80 Fixed the calculation of the internet sold percentage for situation where ticket sales were between 99.5% and 100%. It now only reports 100% if all tickets are sold. Now displays the correct venue in the ticket sales list on the web if an 'alternate venue' is used for general admission tickets. Sped up the routine that determines the next control number in the case of many types of gift certificates/passes where the user has set them as defined in a range of numbers ... and those ranges overlap. And some other enhancements.
6.79 Fixed an issue in web listener were use of http:// 'gets' now work the exact same as the standard http 'posts' when forcing the user through the login process. Added preference for print at home ticketing... if set, tickets bought on the web now mark tickets printed so that they are not printed at the end of day batch print. Some other small enhancements.
6.78 Contains a number of updates primarily aimed at the outlet version and one web page fix for servers that provide unexpected cookies in addition to TM's cookie.
6.77 Contains a minor fix to web sales to store the favourite seats for new subscriptions bought online and a fix for editing donations that are hard pledges. Provides a workaround for IIS web server not liking pages edited on windows machines. Solves alarm notification issue on PCs
6.76 Contains one important web fix to deal with using the back button after checkout. It also supports multiple logins to the web listener from different browsers, enhanced cart window that shows the general admission tickets as well as the current status of the ticket (if the user purchased the ticket and it has been altered, exchanged or refunded, the cart on the patron window now displays that information). There are also a couple of other fixes or enhancements.
6.75 Contains a number of important web fixes and changes. The methodology for setting the anonymous patron id on the cart is now more streamlined and the patron cannot be duplicated. The seat hold/release mechanism is twofold and much more robust - all seats that hit the seat release time are now released for certainty. Issues with the time synchronization for multiple listener has been fixed (this affects all sites). And, the user can now click on seats held on the internet and know who they belong to and when they expired.
6.74 Allows forcing of CID/CVV2 number to be entered for credit card authorizations and addresses a couple of web sales issues. Allows clearing of authorized status of non deposited credit cards in case they need to be sent again. Some web fixes, report changes and enhancements.
6.73 supports the new Revenue Canada requirements for tax receipt and the data that must be on them
6.72 Supports scannable bar codes for ticket sales on the internet and the ability to add enhanced search capabilities for events in web sales
6.71 Enhanced Theatre Manager to support future On-Sale dates for events. You can now set the that that the event starts to go on sale well in advance. This version also contains a web change and a number of bug fixes.
6.70 Updated Theatre Manager to contain Arts Management's new contact phone numbers (the old ones will continue to work for as long as necessary)
6.69 Adds OS-X tiger compatibility in classic mode, an enhancement to outlet version, and a couple of bug fixes to the web listener for those venues using plug-in's.
6.68 Adds the ability for the Database administrator to set the database single user test/exclusive user mode. This is set to safest mode on upgrade and should only be changed on advise from technical support
6.67 Enhanced password policies to match those proposed by the credit card institute

6.64 This version introduces the ability to have multiple credit card merchant accounts. This means that you can authorize your credit cards and deposit it directly into a specific bank if need be.
6.63 Added ability to sell and renew subscriptions on the internet. A major enhancement to best seat searching to allow finding of seats based on 'value' to the customer (e.g., search for seats reserved for donors, or search for seats by aisles first, then other areas, etc.) There are some other small enhancements included in this version as requested by various venues. Added features to the web module to display to a patron the tickets that they have purchased to upcoming events (they basically get to see all 'future' tickets in as the box office does in the patron window). Added the ability to track attendance at the door using the web module and a scanner (with support for specialized wireless Palm devices).

Revised how annual patron statistics are calculated and provided more control over what can be included or excluded. You can now include/exclude specific sales promotions, performances, gift certificates/passes, and/or donations.

Also added the ability to charge order fees (mail fees or exchange fees) on a per ticket basis to a maximum value. In conjunction with this, added the ability to control who could change the fees (see employee privileges). Also added the ability to decide who can refund tickets to past events and/or to events that are no longer on sale. This helps manage who can affect reconciliation reports after they have been printed.

Added 3 or 4 new features and lots of little ones. You can now select a confirmation letter/email for the patron on the payment window to send out the order information directly to the patron (useful for subscription renewals for example where you wish to tell the patron their order has been processed). Added the ability to print selected letters (or send selected emails) from the to-do list window. Added the display of combined giving level history on the patron window to show patron achievement levels and when they were attained. Added then ability to set a priority on each seat and then used the 'Best Available' function to find seats using that priority. It could be used to find 'Aisle seats', 'Member only' seats, 'Wheelchair seats', etc. using the best available function.

Added the ability to specify which folder form letters can be placed into, plus ability to specify which hold letter codes can be auto released prior to a performance (meaning you can ensure your wheelchair holds are never released if you wish). This includes a fix to address PC Charge problems and changes to web pages to solve memory issues.

Added 'Reason to buy' capability to the checkout page for web sales (and custom selection of which to include in code tables). Enhanced viewing and editing controls around the encrypted credit cards in the system. Version 6.56 is the release version for outlet version and web sales, version 2 (containing anonymous browsing) and is the result of 6 months of intensive development and testing. It also includes a new module called the data bridge for sites with OS-X or multi platform computers. Version 6.48 is a major upgrade. It contains many changes for our outlet version (supports multiple organizations sharing a common Theatre Manager database and shared ticket selling), adds ticket commissions, percentage based ticket fees, support for cookies in the web browser, ability to allow a user to buy internet tickets anonymously and login for the purchase, an upgraded web templates and many many more enhancements. Warning: you will need the new template web pages as this will break your web site until page changes are made - think about staging the release.

introduces the web module and many enhancements to support it. The web module supports sales of tickets, donations, gift certificates, and passes in the internet and directly updates the database. Patrons can sign in to their own account and update their own information as well as add themselves to designated mail lists (such as a 'send me audition notices' list or 'remind me to come to my performance' list). This version also supports notification of specified staff members when certain events happen - such as a donation over a certain amount is processed, or a key donor buys tickets, etc. Other key box office enhancements are the ability to find best available seats and position the map at those seats, addition of specific mailing fees, putting round seats on a map (very nice for venues with curved seating sections). The volunteer module can now track volunteers to a performance if desired. Refer to the release notes for the many other small enhancements in this version.

Version 6.00 is a full release and must be downloaded from the demo section. There are no updaters available from earlier versions to version 6. You must have version 6 to update to any subsequent version.
