Database Utilities Window

This is the window from which all database checking and repair is performed. You are given a breakdown of all the data in the database along with the number and size of the records each contains.

Parts of the Database Utilities Window

Database
Which database the file is contained in.
File Name
The name of the file.
File Description
A brief description of what the file contains.
# Records
The number of records stored in the file.
Space (KB)
The amount of memory the file occupies.
Locks

# Copied
The number of records copied if you are copying the database.
Copy Status
The status of the file when the database is being copied.
Error Log
Brief description of any errors that have been found in the file.
Performs a quick check of the database to find any inconsistencies.
Opens the log file kept of the database check. This log is essential for diagnosing the extent and cause of the corruption.
Opens the Database Repair Window through which you can attempt to repair any corruption. Click Here to learn how to repair the database.
Pulls up the database utilities menu. Click Here for more information on database utilities.
Purges data from the selected file. Purging can only be performed on certain files. Click Here for more information on purging.
Opens the Database Validation Window through which you can validate the integrity of certain files. Click Here for more information on Database Validation.
Opens the Expand Database Window through which you can expand databases to ensure proper storage of all inputted data. Click Here for more information on expanding the database.
Copies the database. Click Here for more information on copying your database.
